  • great recap! Key to Gary is that his passion and enthusiasm is palpable to all. Also, it transcends mediums - from videoblogging to broadcast tv.
  • John Erik, it was great!

I've got the videos up on my site now.
  • Nice recap! I particularly like what you say about Gary inspiring people who want to be themselves. We tend to carry around unfruitful ideas about how we have to smooth off all our 'corners' to fit into the working world -- but the real creatives and worldchangers tend to put it all out there. Especially if you're motivated by love and friendship as Gary is (and as I hope to say I am), it's liberating to know that you can just be you and that's enough. It frees you up to do bigger work without worrying about how you come across.

(Oh, and thanks for the link!)
  • btw, that's @robertetaylor, not robert e kelly

    cheers
  • Tim that's a great comment - thanks so much. You hit it right on. Gary had that great example of this, something like: "if you are the biggest fan of Buffy Season 3, I'm convinced you could have a successful video blog on just that." Inferring, doing what you are most passionate about because no matter how long tail it is there are people out there who share that same passion. ...oh what a wonderful Internetz.

    :)

Damon, thanks man. Fixed. I know a guy named Rob Kelly... confused. heh
